4 to 5 hours per tealight. Light a few at once and let the whole room settle into something softer.

Clear, flame-retardant plastic cups. UL approved and fully recyclable. Small enough to go anywhere: tealight holders, dinner tables, outdoor spaces, or a cozy windowsill.

Your candle is made to order, hand-poured with care. A little attention goes a long way.

Before you light it

Trim your wick to ¼ inch every time. This is the single most important thing you can do. A trimmed wick means a cleaner flame, less soot, and a longer burn. Use scissors, nail clippers, or a wick trimmer.

Let it cure first. If your candle just arrived, let it rest for 24 hours before the first burn. This helps the wax set properly.

The first burn matters most

The first time you light your candle, let it burn until the wax melts all the way to the edges of the tin — this is called a full melt pool. It takes about 1–2 hours depending on the size. Skipping this step causes tunneling, where the wax burns straight down the middle and wastes the sides.

While it’s burning

• Never leave a burning candle unattended
• Keep away from drafts, fans, and vents — moving air causes uneven burns and soot
• Keep away from children and pets
• Burn on a stable, heat-resistant surface
• Never burn for more than 4 hours at a time

Burn times

2oz candle — approximately 15 hours
7oz candle — approximately 35–40 hours
8oz candle — approximately 40–50 hours
Tealights — approximately 3–4 hours each

Extinguishing safely

Use a candle snuffer or gently blow it out. Avoid blowing too hard — this can splatter hot wax. After extinguishing, let the wax harden completely before replacing the lid or moving the candle.

When to stop

Stop burning when ½ inch of wax remains at the bottom. Burning past this point can overheat the container. At this stage, clean out the tin and reuse it — it’s a great little container for jewelry, spices, or travel essentials.

Storage

Store your candle in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Soy wax is sensitive to heat and light, which can cause discoloration or sweating. This doesn’t affect the scent or burn quality — it’s just the nature of natural wax.
